Carlos Pons Guerra graduated from NSCD in 2012 and went on to found DeNada Dance Theatre, a company that exports, explores and subverts Hispanic and Latin culture. Carlos enjoyed a year as a CATAPULT artist and recently took part in the artist development and performance programme “Connections” at NSCD. Carlos recently announced that he has been successful in applying to Arts Council England for funding to tour “Ham and Passion: A Triple Bill of Dance”. DeNada Dance Theatre will tour the production to five selected venues across the UK until spring 2016. This exciting news is followed by Carlos’s announcement that he has also received funding from the Artists’ International Development Fund to choreograph in the Dominican Republic early next year.
