Thank you for your interest in the Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Learning & Teaching in Higher Education

Applications for 2023 entry are open

Applications will close at midnight on 31 July 2023.


There is no audition for this course, instead applications are assessed by the panel and applicants may be invited for an online interview. See below for more information.


We welcome all applicants regardless of disability, ethnicity, gender, sexuality or religion. We consider all applications that are made and our selection process is designed to assess your potential as a dance artist and your suitability for our courses.

Making your application

Applicants are requested to submit online examples of their work for consideration.  When completing your application, you will need to provide:

  1. Personal Details
  2. Your current highest academic qualification
  3. Your current teaching or supporting role in Higher Education
  4. Your letter of application
  5. A reference from your place of work
  6. Equality and Diversity Information
  7. Confirmation of application

Once you submit your application you will be redirected to book and pay for your Stage 1 Audition (subject to availability). Applications without an audition booking/payment will not be processed.

You will also receive an email confirmation from admissions@nscd.ac.uk. Please check and save this email. We recommend you add this email address to your contacts to avoid emails going into your junk/spam folder.

Application fee

The application fee is a one-off payment of £20 payable through our online Box Office once you submit your application, and covers the cost of processing applications and auditions. No further fee is required as part of the application and audition process.

We are unable to process your application until we have received payment.

Interviews

We aim to view applications within 2 weeks of receipt during term time. If you are shortlisted for a place we may arrange an online interview with you; you are not required to attend an interview at NSCD. Those who are not shortlisted will be informed.

Outcomes

Following application and interviews (where requested), offers are made to successful applicants who then have 3 weeks in which to accept. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed.
