Those paying their fees using this loan should ensure that the loan has been approved by Student Finance England or its equivalent prior to the start of the course.
If you have been offered a place at the next year of entry please use the following details when making your Postgraduate Loan application:
Overseas students may be able to apply for a bursary of up to £3,000. Unfortunately there is currently no additional bursary or scholarship funding available in relation to Postgraduate courses that NSCD can apply for on behalf of our students but we continue to explore all possible sources of funding. We have collated information of possible sources of additional funding that you may be able to apply for as an individual: Postgraduate study sources of funding
An Acceptance Administration Fee of £50* is payable at the point of acceptance to offers made on all our courses. Full details will be provided within any offer letters that are issued.
* The Administration Fee payment is not required from NSCD students progressing from the BA to an MA course.
A Course Fee Deposit of £1500 is payable by postgraduate students paying overseas fees or those students not obtaining a Postgraduate Loan from Student Finance England or its equivalent. NSCD will require you to pay the deposit at the point of acceptance. The deposit is deducted from the final instalment of your course fees. Course fee deposits are not normally refundable unless you exercise your right to cancel your contract under the Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments) Regulations 2013 within 14 days of submitting the NSCD Acceptance Form.
Students who are applying for a Postgraduate Loan from Student Finance England or its equivalent must provide proof of their loan application at the point of acceptance to be exempt from this deposit.
Many students at NSCD supplement their income by undertaking part-time work. This is fairly easy to come by in Leeds, and some work for students is offered by the School itself.
Northern School of Contemporary Dance does not have student accommodation connected to the school but we do facilitate a House Hunting Day in June and provide support and useful contacts for you to use when arranging your accommodation. Find out more about Accommodation in Leeds.
