Keira Martin is an aerial Irish contemporary dancer, choreographer and movement director, born and raised in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Trained in traditional Irish step dance, she went on to compete at international level before commencing her studies at NSCD and the New School for Dance Development in Amsterdam.
For the past 20 years, Keira has toured nationally and internationally and collaborated with companies and renowned artists including Yolande Snaith, Jonathan Burrows, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre, Kompany Malakhi, Biserk Dance, State of Emergency, Bermuda Dance Co, Nathan Trice Dance Rituals and Spirit of the Dance.

Sadler’s Wells recently commissioned Keira to perform her work Here She Comes as part of their popular Wild Card series, offering bespoke evenings of works curated by the next generation of dance makers. Dance Art Journal described it as a “refreshingly raw and authentic autobiographical work“.
Keira continues to create work for a variety of venues and spaces. Her new work, “Good Blood”, (created and performed with her sister Sioda Adams), was the first live dance event after Covid-19; performed on a lorry in Air Park in partnership with Slunglow and Leeds Dance Partnership.
Keira is currently researching and working with the Gypsy Roma Traveller community for a project funded by Bradford 2025. Keira has been invited to perform in Dublin and New York next summer as part of a cultural festival for artists of the Irish Diaspora.
