Botis Seva is the founder of Far From The Norm, a company renowned for challenging both hip hop and dance theatre conventions. Botis’ work tackles socio-political concerns and in 2019, BLKDOG won him the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production. Expect powerful, distinct physicality in a bold reimagining of dance.
Renowned for her complex, layered physical vocabulary, Lali Ayguadé performed for the likes of Akram Kham, Marcos Morau and Hofesh Schechter before founding Lali Ayguadé Company. She is also a prolific teacher and facilitator at international festivals such as B12 and Deltebre, and has made commissioned work for companies including Bodhi Project.
Independent Swedish choreographer Mari Carrasco is known for daring, visceral and technically demanding works. Her creation BARTOLOMEO was performed over 100 times across Europe, the USA, Japan, Palestine and Jordan. She is a sought-after maker in Scandinavia, having created work for internationally acclaimed companies such as Noordans and Regionteater Vast.
Having danced with Phoenix Dance Theatre for over 20 years, Douglas Thorpe is known for explosive and highly physical choreography. He has created work for ACE Dance & Music, Staatstheater Mainz and the 2012 Cultural Olympiad, and is founder of Leeds-based company Mad Dogs Dance Theatre.
