Professional companies

The day features choreography and performances from professional companies based in the North including:

Based in Manchester and founded by NSCD alumni Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner, Company Chameleon tours original, inspiring dance theatre across the UK and internationally. They’ll be performing Hands Down, a contact-based male duet exploring how we display strength and manage vulnerability in relationships.

Under NSCD alumnus Josh Hawkins, Hawk Dance Theatre develops visually dynamic and powerful productions for theatres, festivals and digital platforms. A Moment, the series of three pop-up outdoor duets set to be performed at COLLIDE, takes a look at a meeting, an encounter and a departure.

Northern Rascals is a multi-disciplinary performance company based in Hebden Bridge, known for blending theatre and contemporary dance to create abstract, absurd and imaginative performances. They’ll be performing SunnySide, a vulnerable and devastating work focusing on a teenager living in an English Everytown.
