Lucas was born in Metz, France where he started contemporary and ballet at a regional conservatoire aged 16. He graduated with a degree in English linguistics before coming to NSCD where he completed his BA (Hons) in Dance (Contemporary), working with choreographers including Victoria Fox - Tribe//, Joseph Mercier, Imogen Reeve, Akram Khan, and Eleanor Sikorski.
During his time at NSCD, Lucas developed an interest in live and improvised performance, and intends to research these avenues further. Lucas is a certified yoga teacher and a passionate hand-balancer. Having had the opportunity to teach at NSCD he hopes to further his teaching practice in the future.
“I dance to keep building a moving body, to reach new levels of physicality as a mover and new levels of creativity as an artist. When dancing I am able to share wordless feelings with an audience and grow with an incredible community around me.”
