How do we articulate the civic value of art and how can we build new, productive relationships between diverse publics, artists and the places they work? Happening alongside our conference, this year we have the Northern Dance Get-Together, an opportunity for those working in dance in the North to regroup and reconnect in order to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the sector right now.
We’re heading to Cardiff, Manchester, Gateshead and Birmingham this January and February for our Undergraduate Experience Days! If you’re aged 15-18 and missed our Autumn Open Day this is the perfect opportunity to find out more about what it’s like to train as a dancer at degree level. Includes a free practical dance workshop led by one of our experienced tutors.
We’re excited to kickstart a new year of performances with SHED by alumni-led company Northern Rascals at the end of this month, and tickets are already on sale! Other highlights to look forward to include the World Premiere of VERVE's 2024 Triple Bill in February, JV2 in March and Rendez-vous Dance Company in April.

Our Spring term of community classes for all ages and abilities starts back on Monday 15 January. With something for everyone, start the new year right - last minute places available for new and returning faces.
Following their premiere in February, our award-winning postgraduate company VERVE will tour to a total of 12 other venues across the UK, Switzerland and Italy. If you’re unable to make the premiere, we recommend catching this year's triple bill of contemporary dance works by Matteo Marfoglia, Joy Alpuerto Ritter and (LA)Horde on the road.
We’re incredibly excited for students on our newest course - MA Interdisciplinary Dance Performance, who will be working with Gecko on a brand new production this year, premiering at Riley Theatre on 1 & 2 June and touring to The Place, London on 29 June.
