Last week, we received the very sad news that Helen Parlor, a former student at Northern School of Contemporary Dance and the Artistic Director of Motus Dance, has passed away.
Helen’s creative and tenacious personality made her a fantastic dance teacher and cultural leader within the sphere of dance, as well as a close friend and colleague to many.
Helen saw dance as a way of bringing people together and her energetic performances and massive smiles were known for lighting up a room.
A cherished friend to so many, Helen will be missed, and we are thinking of her family and friends at this difficult time.
Details of her funeral are unknown to us at this moment.
