Keeping You Safe - NSCD

Keeping You safe

We’ve adopted a number of measures to ensure we keep everyone safe at our events.

Safety measures - events

  • We’re asking all visitors to show their NHS COVID Pass in order to gain entry (more below)
  • We’re encouraging all visitors to be responsible and to continue to wear a face covering where possible, particularly when moving around and in crowded spaces.
  • We’ve enhanced cleaning regimes before, during and post-event.
  • We’re asking everyone to respect other visitors, including observing social distancing where possible.

NHS COVID pass

Event attendees are now required to present their NHS COVID Pass on entry in order to evidence at least one of the following:

  • Vaccine status
  • Covid immunity
  • a negative test result

Those unable to produce the required certification will be refused entry. Under 11s do not need to show the COVID Pass, but are still encouraged to test prior to attendance.

As part of this we are asking all event staff to evidence a negative lateral flow test.

More about the NHS COVID Pass

The NHS COVID Pass demonstrates you have at least one of the following:

  • completed a full course of vaccination at least 14 days ago
  • received a negative PCR or lateral flow test result within 24 hours of a performance
  • have proof of natural immunity by way of a positive PCR test within 180 days (but more than 10)

You can create and present your NHS COVID Pass via the NHS App, via the NHS website or as a paper letter requested by ringing 119. All of these are accepted. Limited exemptions are permitted, including for those under 18 years of age.

Taking a test:

PCR test kits can be ordered and sent to your home address, alternatively you can book an appointment online for a test at a walk-in or drive through test centre.

Lateral flow test kits can be ordered online through the UK government website, or picked up from your local pharmacy. If taking a lateral flow test, please register the result on the NHS app in order to receive confirmation.
