UNDERCURRENT brings unorthodox performance to unconventional spaces. Taking over the offices, bridges and boulevards of Leeds Dock, expect performance art that tears up the rule book.
Touching on topics from fracking and fast fashion to extinction and social media, NSCD students present an immersive, irreverent take on today’s social and political climate.
Three girls audition for British Empire’s Got Talent. Performers take refuge in a futuristic queer cabaret. Audience members go on dates with dancers or take part in a twisted game of Monopoly. Over the course of a boardroom meeting, one group forms a new political party.
These free, non-ticketed performances invite you to drop in as you please. Each performance will be repeated three times at various intervals throughout the day, giving you chance to catch as much of the action as possible.
Pick up a schedule and map from the UNDERCURRENT hub, Dock 29, where you can also claim a £3 drink deal and enjoy the afterparty from 9pm onwards.
