This open workshop for ages 16+, will work on the element of 'posing', a vital part of the performance form called 'Voguing'.
This workshop will aim to give participants a better understanding of what Ballroom Culture is all about. In a fun, high-energy, and supportive space.
Previous experience in Voguing is not required to participate in the workshop, but experience in dance or movement practices is recommended.
Led by Sattva Ninja. Sattva comes from what she describes as a ‘street dance freestyle training background’.
This specific background has helped her to understand her own unique body. As well as, her own expression in movement, and ways of listening and interpreting music. When she’s performing Sattva considers herself to be a moving piece of art. Her work strives to find a unique quality of movement and a unique understanding of music with a unique energy of character that transcends any kind of formal training.
