ASTROS DAVIDSDOTTIR

Originally from Reykjavík, Iceland, Ástrós fell in love with movement at the age of five when she stepped into her first ballet class - mostly because it gave her space to run and twirl around. Since then, dance has been their main form of expression, leading them to complete a BA in Dance at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona where she worked with a variety of artists including Sita Ostheimer, Kennedy Muntanga and Lali Ayguadé. During her time in IDP, Ástrós has discovered her interests in the connection between movement and other art forms. They particularly love weaving dance with cinematography, voice work and writing.

When she’s not dancing, Ástrós loves spending time in nature, preferably as far away from city life as possible. Ever since she was young, she’s dreamed of spending her retirement years in the middle of nowhere with lots of animals around.
