BARNABY BOOTH

Dancer, Choreographer and Lighting Designer

On graduating from NSCD in 2015, Barnaby joined the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD). His lighting credits include work for DeNada Dance Theatre, Northern Ballet, VERVE (the postgraduate company of NSCD), SEAD's Bodhi Project, Unholy Mess Theatre Company, Feet Off the Ground Dance, Utopia Theatre Company, Abott Dance Theatre, Ieva Kuniskis, Tora Hed, Sita Ostheimer, Mala Kline and Lewys Holt.

His solo piece We Do This. We Don't Talk won Booth a number of prizes at the Stuttgart International Solo Festival and at the Gdanski Festival Tanca in Poland in 2017. This year, it completed a successful tour of Germany and next year will be touring Brazil, whilst his other independent works Loyal Prophets to an Indifferent God and How to Read a Dark Screen continue to be performed internationally.

He has also directed a number of music videos and performances, has made work for postgraduate (SEAD - Bodhi Project) and undergraduate (Roehampton University) companies, and worked as a curator (for Omnibus Theatre) and choreographic assistant.

Booth also is currently working on commissions for TRAK Dance Ensemble (Austria), Los Little Guys (USA/Mexico) and Dantzaz dance company (Spain/Baque country) which will be premiered in the autumn and spring. He will also next year be starting research for a new independent work.
