BPA & MA in Contemporary Dance

Originally from Suffolk, Charlotte started contemporary at the DanceEast CAT before going on to train at NSCD on both the BA and MA programmes.

After graduating Charlotte joined Black Box Dance Company in Denmark, first as an apprentice and then as a company dancer, where she performed works by Marie Brolin-Tani, Tim Rushton and Tina Tapgaard, amongst others, touring internationally.

Currently based in Leeds, Charlotte teaches regularly from early years to professionals for organisations such as ProDance Leeds, Northern Ballet, Kala Sangam and NSCD. As a dance artist, she works with Tom Hobden’s Unit, FRONTLINEdance and Tim Casson.

Creatively she has been commissioned by NSCD, Assembly House and Ilkley Literature Festival and performs and directs her own dance theatre company ACCA. ACCA is a resident company at Slung Low, and their work Occupational Hazard has toured across Yorkshire, performed at Yorkshire Dance, Rural Arts, Ripon Theatre Festival and Grassington International Festival. Charlotte also edits the digital zine Artychoke, handles programming for ProDanceLeeds and does freelance admin and digital work for a variety of arts organisations.
