EMILIA ROSE

Dancer

Originally from Leeds, Emilia was a student on the CAT scheme at Northern Ballet from 2011 to 2014. She also joined the CAT scheme at Northern School of Contemporary Dance and studied there until 2016. Aged 16, Emilia moved to Scotland in order to pursue her career, gaining an HND in Professional Dance & Performance from Ballet West. She toured Scotland with the productions of Nutcracker and Swan Lake. She continued her studies at Chantry School, graduating in 2021, and earned a teaching qualification in IDTA. After graduating, Emilia took part in The Matthew Bourne's New Adventures Winter Intensive as well as joining company classes with them and National Dance Company Wales.

"I didn't choose dance and performance, it chose me. Over the years, I have had quite a complex relationship with dancing and performance, but despite the adversities I still persue this career. As cliché as it sounds, I came to realise that being in this industry is something I need to do, not want."
