Geneva was born in Belgium, where she began ballet classes at the age of 2. She developed a love for creative expression, and practiced writing, theatre and singing alongside dance. Geneva focused primarily on her contemporary practice, training on the BA (Hons) Dance (Contemporary) at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, where she was able to perform works by Northern Rascals, Joseph Mercier and Imogen Reeve, and Fernanda Prata. Since joining the MA Interdisciplinary Dance Performance course Geneva has been able to reimagine her childhood passions and blend them with her love for movement and storytelling. She is fascinated by people and enjoys work which speak about the universality of the human experience, how a shared personal experience can create community and togetherness. Her recent experience working with Florence Peake prompted her exploration in presence and embodied experience within performance.
