Who am I?

“Dance has always been a big part of my life and I have been lucky enough to spend much of my 20 year career working in and supporting the arts within Yorkshire.

Initially expecting to work at NSCD for a couple of years, NSCD has sprinkled its magic dust and continues to challenge and excite many years later. A place where two days are never the same!

Outside of NSCD I am kept busy with my 3 very lovely (and noisy) young children, who remind me every day about the good in the world. I also spend a lot of time watching football as a very proud Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter.”

Educational Background and Expertise Supporting Curriculum Development

As the academic registrar and compliance manager, Hannah plays a pivotal role in curriculum development by ensuring that all academic programs meet regulatory and institutional standards. Her oversight includes reviewing course structures, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, and aligning curricula with educational policies. She collaborates with faculty to integrate legal and academic guidelines, ensuring that new and existing programs adhere to quality assurance measures. Additionally, Hannah’s expertise in compliance helps mitigate risks by identifying potential regulatory issues early in the curriculum development process, safeguarding the institution’s academic integrity.

Career History

Following completion of a degree in History at the University of Liverpool, Hannah joined the School of Arts at Leeds Beckett University before moving to Arts Council England, Yorkshire.

At the Arts Council, Hannah worked for 5 years in music and dance development; supporting both organisations and independent artists to secure funding and develop practice.
