She has also interned with Curious Motion, a non-profit organisation based in Calderdale that aims to reduce loneliness through dance and creative practice.

Creatively, over the past year or so she has been specialising in film, co-founding Ironstone with whom she has made several short films and developed skills in choreographing for the screen, crafting screenplays, and editing. She recently directed a film for 2faced Dance Company and Ironstone were the recipients of the 2022 CATAPULT award.

Isla is also accredited 'carbon literate' by Sustainable Arts in Leeds, having completed a course to ensure she is well-equipped to make art sustainable in the climate crisis.

Isla loves teaching at NSCD Saturday School and finds herself constantly inspired by the enthusiasm and creativity of the students.
