Originally from Leeds, Jacob began dancing at the age of 13 at Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Youth Academy. He later obtained a Certificate in Higher Education at NSCD and went on to study for his bachelor’s in arts at Rambert School of Contemporary Dance graduating in 2020, after having the opportunity to work with Christopher Bruce dancing in his work Stream.

Since then, he has been working as a freelance dance artist and has enjoyed working with choreographers such as Eliot Smith, Zoobin Surty and Harriet Macauley. Jacob also choreographed and performed in his own work ‘Emptiness’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival accompanied by his choreographic partner Xiaoyi Tong.
