Jaivant graduated from NSCD's BPA (Hons) Contemporary Dance Performance in 2004.

Jaivant is an award-winning independent artist, cultural producer, choreographer and creative consultant based in Wolverhampton.
He is currently touring YAATRA, a captivating solo evening of Kathak and contemporary dance exploring the rich possibilities rooted in South Asian LGBTQ+ narratives.
He is an Associate Artist at Arena Theatre and Midlands Arts Centre, a member of the board of directors for Dance4 and a former Independent Artistic and Quality Assessor for Arts Council England.
India Gazette London featured him in the 2018 ‘High & Mighty’ Powerlist of individuals in the UK-India Corridor, and he was nominated for a Positive Role Model title in the LGBT category of the 2018 and 2019 National Diversity Awards.
On top of this, Jaivant is Artistic Director of the non-profit community organisation Jai Jashn Dance. In 2017, Jai Jashn Dance was the recipient of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
