Piera was born in Naples, south of Italy, where she began her training as a gymnast until the age of 14. She then decided to study contemporary and modern-jazz dance at Movimento Danza, rethinking the use of the body itself. When she was 19, Piera moved to London to deepen her training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. There, she collaborated with various artists such as Sara Wookey, FUBUNATION and Stephanie Schober and graduated with First Class Honors degree in 2022. During these three years Piera focused on developing her artistic integrity through the practice of improvisation and choreographic research.
“People dance for many different reasons. I started to understand why I wanted to do it. I continued because the answer changes every day. So, why do I dance? Ask me tomorrow.”
